Let's face it... When does a mother of two have time to blog these days? I really, really want to get back into the blogging world. I promise! I think I'm having a hard time getting motivation because I can't post pictures. My laptop has completely taken a dump. It's just collecting dust as we speak. So now I'm waiting for tax returns to come and THEN I will start posting pictures!!!
I don't want to overwhelm you with too much, so let's just do a 3 month review...
December
Christmas was a lot harder for us this year because this was our first year alone, in our own home. We really wanted to create our own family traditions, but couldn't do exactly what we wanted this year because we had to accommodate all of our extended families and their schedules. Kaelyn took it the hardest. She was really good for the first event, but by event number 5, she was done for. Wouldn't even nap and just got all around fussy. We wouldn't get home until after 9pm most nights and Autumn goes to bed around 7:30 (8 at the latest). Next year I think we're going to have to say "no" to some things. We just really want to establish our own traditions and really emphasize family time and not crazy time.
We all ended up getting colds right after this. It was no fun for anyone, especially Kaelyn. Autumn wasn't nearly as sick as Kaelyn has been this winter. However, the more Autumn get sick, the more likely Kaelyn will now get sick :-/ It happens. That's life. We just make it the best that we can. Which means mommy gets more cuddle time with Kaelyn :-)
January
Kaelyn officially moved into her crib, in her own room, for the first time in the beginning of January. I was really trying to get the best video baby monitor that worked well with Autumn's for Kaelyn's room. I love, love, LOVE being able to see both the girls at night. Makes for a lot less trips getting out of bed to see what's the matter. Also, Kaelyn is a super quiet sleeper, so I didn't mind having her in our room for as long as she was. Autumn, was out by 5 weeks. Haha. Kaelyn also tricked me by "rolling" over, twice, but it was a fluke. She didn't do it again for another month. Kaelyn goes to her 4 month checkup this month. She's still outgrowing Autumn in comparison (which is still strange to me, since she was so much smaller). Kaelyn's stats were: Weight - 15 lbs 6 oz (80th), Height - 25 3/4" (96th), and Head Circumference - 42cm (85th) Jordan and I think that Kaelyn will eventually be taller than Autumn. She is just growing so long and yet she's still super chunky! We LOVE her double chin (or I call it her double neck). She smiles at anyone and everyone. She also took her first bottle from Jordan. I had to run and errand and she woke up from a nap early and wanted to nurse. So Jordan grabbed some breastmilk, warmed it up and gave her a bottle. She took it like a champ!!! That makes for some nice date nights ahead!
Autumn is really starting to show interest in Kaelyn. She won't share her toys, but she will acknowledge that Kaelyn is there and will talk to her every now and then. I made it a point to make sure that I spend time, daily, playing with Autumn. One on one. Making our play time more purposeful and a learning experience for her. I also start working out on a daily (or every other day, hehe) basis. Brings my energy level up more so that I can spend more time with Autumn and less time on the couch. Autumn also loves working out with me. She tries, so hard, to do everything that I'm doing. It's hilarious and a lot of fun for both of us. When I'm all done and super exhausted, she wants to do more. Best motivation coach ever!
I get super motivated to work on my salon. I get it all cleaned out, primed the walls and ceiling (I loathe painting ceilings). Then I paint all the walls!! Now I'm waiting for the floors to be done so that I can move everything in and start working in my salon :-) I'm super excited to get my business at home up and running!!! Jordan left for Tennessee for 2 weeks at the end of January. It was really hard for him and especially us. Kaelyn has no idea, but she's growing so fast at this age and Jordan feels like he misses out on so much. Autumn isn't really sure what's going on and asks for daddy on a daily basis. She eventually started crying for him by the end of the 2 weeks because he wasn't going to be home. However, this time was definitely a marriage builder for us. We were really able to work on our communication skills during this time and was definitely a huge turn around for us :-) He, however, won't be leaving that long for a LONG time ;-)
February
Kaelyn masters her bouncy seat!!! She can kick her legs just right where she can bounce herself and boy, can she BOUNCE!!! It's hilarious and sometimes makes Jordan a little nauseous. Hehe. We put her in an exersaucer to see how she would handle that. She tried bouncing, but it was too hard for her. So I sold that and invested in a jumperoo. She can she get going and bounce like crazy in that! She loves all the music that comes with it. She especially loves that Autumn's jealous and will stand there and play with the toys in hopes that Kaelyn will get out so she can get in ;-) Kaelyn is now officially rolling over, from tummy to back that is. The funny thing is... She's only done it in her crib. Several times already! Even today for nap time, I had to put her back on her tummy twice before she fell asleep. She's cooing like crazy. Loves to have a "conversation" with you. Just started using her Ms recently. "Mama" won't be too far around the corner ;-) She LOVES watching Autumn play. Autumn will read her books from time to time. Kaelyn also loves our kitties. They like coming by her and she'll pet them and pull their ears. They sure do tolerate our girls very well.
Autumn's talking is getting clearer and clearer and she's saying some of the funniest things lately. I really have to start watching what I say around her these days too. I make sure that I don't swear around our girls (I'm working on just not swearing in general... yikes). But that doesn't mean "Oh my gosh" won't slip my mouth every now and then... Well, apparently Autumn caught on and the first time I heard her say "UGH!!!!! OH..... MY..... GOSH!!!!!!", I couldn't help but laugh because she said it the exact same way I do, even the tone was down. So I paid attention to what I say and apparently I say it more often than I would like. Now I'm trying to work on Autumn not saying that and saying something else. Temper tantrums are a quite large and often right now. I couldn't figure out what was different and why she was doing that so much, until I looked in her mouth... 2 of her two year molars are coming in. That would definitely explain her acting out! So I ordered her a new Baltic Amber necklace to hopefully help her out a little bit. Not to mention that we all got another cold and just got over it the past week or so. Autumn even ended up with a slight fever for a day. Yuck! Potty training.... Oh how I loathe those 2 words. Haha. I keep trying to start, but something keeps coming up. I especially didn't want to try during her cold. So, now I gotta start back up again. I swear it's potty training the parents and not the kids. Now I know why everyone dreads this stage in life. The first day I tried, I had to change my socks 3 times before lunch time. Haha. Oh dear. I'll get there. I'll buckle down. I have the tools I want to help me. Now if only Kaelyn would get on a consistent schedule to help me out ;-)
Jordan took his Journeyman's Exam to become a licensed electrician a couple of weeks ago. He worked so hard at studying for that exam. I am so proud of him! I know he did really well! Now we're just waiting for his results in the mail. It could be up to 30 days after he took the test. Crazy, I know!!! Jordan also decided to take down the walls to the "man cave" in our basement to open it up. It looks so great and he did a really nice job cleaning up ;-) I can't wait til everything's finished down there!! Jordan has worked so hard on our house so far, and there's still so much to do. He's basically overall amazing <3
Well, I hope you enjoyed a recap of the past 3 months of our life. I'm sure I missed a few things, but basically emphasized on the highlights of it. I'm looking forward to getting into the blogging world again. I do miss it and I miss all the encouraging words and comments from everyone. Know that anything and everything you post is important to me and I love to share my journey in life with you guys!

Happy (almost) Birthday Autumn!
I've always said that I would never do a character themed party... But if you've ever met Autumn, you'll know that her FAVORITE character is Dora! She would live, breathe and sleep Dora if she could. And since she's about to become a big sister (any day now), how could I not give her the party of her dreams?! :-) I decorated the house with a bunch of Dora stuff, Jordan filled up pink and orange balloons for her to play with and a friend of mine even made Autumn a Dora cake. It was amazing! Autumn had a BLAST!!! I got a video of her seeing the decorations for the first time. Priceless. I had to hold back the tears. I absolutely love my "almost" 2 year old to death and it was so great to have family over to celebrate her! So please enjoy some pictures from her special night!

Swimming, swimming, in the swimming pool!
Like I've said before, it's been hot here in Michigan and I've been trying to find ways to keep Autumn entertained while inside. However, it's starting to not be so hot outside anymore. So we filled up Autumn's pool. I didn't want her hanging out in the sun (I didn't feel like putting sunscreen on her at the moment), although, being in the sun might have been a better idea. Poor girl was shivering so much and her lips turned purple. We had to force her out of the pool! Haha. She did enjoy herself thoroughly and especially since daddy was in the pool with her!!! I'm so glad I grabbed my camera because I sure did get some special moments between those two. Autumn's favorite part about the pool with daddy? Sliding down his legs like a slide. You'll see that in one of the pictures. She kept doing it over and over again. Definitely need to get her a slide soon.

Coloring
I've been trying to come up with creative ideas to keep Autumn entertained during the day (since it's been too hot outside). One thing that never gets old... coloring. Even I love to color! Now, I haven't been able to finish any page that I start because Autumn takes it over, but that's just the fun of it :-)
One thing that I've been enjoying when it comes to coloring is drawing shapes and having Autumn recognize them. She already knows triangles, circles, squares and even a hexagon (thanks to my mom, hehe). I started working on numbers, she knows what they are but doesn't know which is which yet. But just the fact that I even draw a number and she knows what it could be is awesome. Thinking about making some flash cards and working on letters with her as well.
I also found a book (not sure where I got it from) with 365 ways to keep your toddler busy (The Busy Book). Definitely going to be opening that up today!

Rain Rain, Go Away
I am so blessed to have a grandmother that lives close by. Or should I say that I moved close to my grandmother. Hehe. She's so incredibly helpful when it comes to watching Autumn. She absolutely enjoys having Autumn around and always tells Autumn to come back again soon (whenever we leave).
Today I had my grandma watch Autumn while I took our kitties to the vet (follow up appointment and first round of shots). After picking Autumn up from my grandma's she starting saying "chugga chugga, choo choo!" So I asked her if it was a train and she said "from Dora" Hehe. Autumn absolutely loves Dora :-) Then later at lunch time Autumn starting singing "eain rain, go away", then I would say "xome again some other day" and she shouted "YAY!". Haha. So I had to call my grandma to see what was going on at her house this morning... Apparently, the episode of Dora that Autumn watched was about trains and then Sesame Street was about a rain cloud inside the house. Haha, I love it. My grandma was shocked that Autumn was even paying attention and caught on to something like that. She's so smart.
It's been hot here in Michigan. I am so incredibly grateful for my handy husband who fixed our air conditioner last week. I would definitely be spending the week at my parent's if we didn't have air. However, Autumn was getting a little anxious and naughty being cooped up inside a lot lately. So after dinner we went outside to water the flowers. Autumn immediately found the large mound of dirt we have in our yard and started playing in it. Not a big deal, until she ran into the water I was using. Mud everywhere! She wasn't a fan (I have a girly girl on my hands here) and asked me to wash her off. We then spent the next half hour running around the yard and getting Autumn wet with the hose. She loved it! I wish I could have taken pictures. However, Jordan is in Pennsylvania for the week and I wasn't about to use my camera and the hose at the same time :-P So just imagine Autumn, diaper only, soaking wet and muddy while finding all the dirt spots she can and attempting to put it on mommy. (PS - Autumn passed out in bed at 7:30. Hasn't moved an inch since...)
One stage that I haven't been looking forward to is the "Terrible Twos". We officially have begun that stage in Autumn's life. There's been times where it's definitely entertaining to watch Autumn act the way she does. Mostly because it's how I act sometimes. Other times I just want to put an ad on craigslist for "Free Cranky Child" (totally kidding). It hits her the hardest when she's tired or when it involves the kitties. She just wants to love them, a little too much. She is getting better and I find that I'm telling her less and less to be careful around them. Expect... when she's tired. I pray that this stage doesn't last long, even though I do understand why they go through it. It's just been hard since Jordan won't be home til Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. I'm definitely grateful for a husband who is willing to help me out with Autumn in the evening and give me time to breathe. I am definitely not cut out to be a single mom :-)

Washing and Brushing
I am absolutely loving this stage of Autumn's life right now. Yes, it can be a little difficult at times. She is starting to learn that she can push our patience if she wants to. However, just the fact that's she's constantly talking. Putting long sentences together. Understanding conversations between her and myself. It's amazing!
I started encouraging Autumn's independence and control. In the morning I'll ask her what she wants to eat for breakfast and give her 2 options. She usually repeats back both of them. However, I keep repeating them back until she gets really excited about one over the other. The look in her eyes when she actually gets what she "asked" for is amazing. Makes me smile :-) I also have her "pick our her clothes" as well. Same thing, give her a couple of options and she chooses out of those what she wants to wear. She even tries to put the clothes on herself. It's hilarious to watch. She usually ends up getting frustrated and I'll show her how in the end.
Speaking of frustration. It's amazing how you really have to watch what you say around Autumn. I'm really great at not swearing around her. I cut that out when I found out I was pregnant with her. No way I wanted her to learn those words (at an early age, she's gonna find out sooner or later). However, there is one phrase that she caught onto very quickly and it cracks me up... GOOD GRIEF!!! Hahaha. I noticed that about a week ago. She was trying to put on one of her shoes, it didn't work, so she threw her shoe down and said "good grief!" I had to walk away and laugh because it was just too cute coming out of her quiet little voice. So now she says it whenever something doesn't go her way.
Autumn has also become obsessed with washing her hands. Not that I don't mind. Just starting to get a little harder for me to hold Autumn up to the sink everything we need to wash them. I don't let her wash her hands everytime. Otherwise she'd never leave the sink. I even thought about getting her a step stool for our upstairs bathroom. Again, she would never leave the sink. However, her little potty turns into a step stool, so I turned it over for her one day and let her brush her teeth and wash her hands. Guess what? She didn't want to leave the sink. I had to pull her away, crying, or our water bill would be through the roof! She had fun and I enjoy taking some cute pictures.
Put some product in Autumn's hair to "enhance" her curl :-)

Two surveys for the price of one!
I had my 28 week check up today, which went well. The best part of it was that Kaelyn decided that we didn't need to hear her heartbeat today. She worked really hard at trying to move away from the little machine and even kicked it several times. The nurse and I had a good laugh. We were able to hear the heartbeat (because lil Kaelyn can only go so far) and it sounded beautifully. A nice 145 bpm.
One thing I was definitely not crazy about was how much weight I gained this past month. Ugh! My doctor told me that this is completely normal to have a month where you spike really high (I did the same with Autumn as well). I just wasn't prepared for it. Like I stated before in my last blog post, I've been working at trying to not gain as much weight this time around. However, when I asked what my start weight was, I felt much better because I've only gained a total of 15 lbs so far. I looked back at one of my surveys and I had gained 24 lbs at about this time with Autumn. So a huge sigh of relief for me. Hehe.
Speaking of surveys, I thought it would be fun to compare surveys from now and back with Autumn. So my pregnancy with Kaelyn will be in bold and my pregnancy with Autumn won't. Enjoy!
How far along? 27 weeks and 6 days (28 weeks and 6 days)
Total weight gain/loss: Gained 15 lbs (Gained 24 lbs)
Maternity clothes? Definitely in the maternity pants and still trying to wear some of my old t-shirts. (I'd rather wear my lounge pants (that I made) with a sports bra and an oversized t-shirt... Ahhhh, sounds so much better than tight clothes!)
Stretch marks? My old ones are getting darker and I've noticed some new ones around my belly button (whose idea was it to get my belly button pierced?) (None (so far...))
Sleep: Ugh... Sleep is overrated. Especially now that I have to get up with Autumn in the morning. I don't get to sleep in til 10am like I did last pregnancy. LOL (Sleep? What's that?! Definitely tossing and turning or up and peeing... Take your pick!)
Best moment this week: Having Jordan feel Kaelyn's hiccups. He thought that was kinda funny. (Actually being woken up by her moving. I know it sounds crazy, but I kinda enjoyed it :-))
Movement: She moves, a lot! I'm beginning to think it was more than Autumn did. She's very active and isn't very shy. She's definitely let a lot of people feel her move. (Everyday, several times a day. She's a very active baby!)
Food cravings: Cool Ranch Doritos!!! (Pickles and Culver's Icecream (but not together... Ewww))
Gender: It's a girl!!! (It's a girl :-D)
Labor Signs: None... (None (yet...))
Belly Button in or out? Belly button is definitely an outie now. (Neither. It's more of an even-ny... LOL... I guess it depends on how I am sitting. But definitely more out than in sometimes.)
What I miss: Again... Sleeping on my stomach! (SLEEPING ON MY STOMACH!!!!!! :-/)
What I am looking forward to: I would have to say the same thing, being able to hold her in my arms and introduce her to Autumn and Jordan. However, I can wait (hehe). (Being able to hold her in my arms, kiss her little cheeks and see that beautiful face that Jordan and I created. Miracle of life is such a beautiful thing!)
Weekly Wisdom: Your house doesn't always have to be 100% clean. Anybody who has kids (recently or not) will understand that there are toys everywhere and food everywhere. If they don't, don't invite them over. Hehe (Make sure you don't sneeze on a full bladder....... :-/)
Milestones: I think it's funny how excited I was with Autumn that I was going to have a baby in 3 months. But now I'm going into panic mode, because I have nothing ready for this baby that's coming in 3 months!!! (I think just being less than 3 months away from my due date is a milestone.)

Weekly Wisdom: Your house doesn't always have to be 100% clean. Anybody who has kids (recently or not) will understand that there are toys everywhere and food everywhere. If they don't, don't invite them over. Hehe (Make sure you don't sneeze on a full bladder....... :-/)
Milestones: I think it's funny how excited I was with Autumn that I was going to have a baby in 3 months. But now I'm going into panic mode, because I have nothing ready for this baby that's coming in 3 months!!! (I think just being less than 3 months away from my due date is a milestone.)
Realization of the week: SO MUCH TO DO IN 3 MONTHS!!! (I'm gonna have a baby in 3 months!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!)

Now and Then
I was finally able to take a picture of my baby bump today. I've been lazy when it comes to makeup and making myself look decent. And on the days that I do, I forget to take a picture. Well, I enjoy Jordan taking my picture for me. That's a chore in and of itself ;-)
As I was posting my picture on facebook, my friend Jen asked if I had one of my pregnancy with Autumn around the same time (27 weeks). Sure enough, I did! I had one of myself at 27 weeks with Autumn. Perfect! After emailing the pictures to Jen, she did a little side by side... Wow... What a difference!
I've been working really hard on being healthier this time around. I gained way too much weight when I was pregnant with Autumn (almost 50 lbs to be exact). I wasn't going to let that happen again. With Autumn I was lazy, I didn't go out much, I sat on my computer all day. Ate the wrong foods. Wasn't having the best sleep schedule (sleeping too much or not enough). Just basically being lazy in general. I ate way, way too much fast food as well. Ugh, I feel sick just thinking about it. Now I am walking 1 1/2 miles a day with Jade. Running around with Autumn ALL DAY LONG. Eating much, much healthier. It helps having Autumn around to feed because I don't want her to eat junk food period. I'm still struggling with portions. My eyes are bigger than my stomach and I feel like I always have to eat what's on my plate. So it's something I need to work on.
I went back on my blog to my 27th week with Autumn, just to see what I wrote about. It wasn't what I was hoping for, but it'll do. I was really more curious about numbers and my survey that I usually do. But that was at 28 weeks so I think I'll wait until my doctor's appointment on Wednesday before I compare those numbers. For now, enjoy the picture that Jen sent me. It's amazing, how much healthier I look this time around. I feel much better too!

My poor baby :-(
I feel, absolutely horrible. I never would have purposefully put my daughter, or anyone else for that matter, in this sort of danger. I still, can't believe it actually happened...
What am I talking about do you ask? Our newest dog, Kallie, bit Autumn in the face last night and even drew blood. I was in the other room when it happened. Jordan was sitting on the couch. Kallie on her bed next to the couch. Autumn was right on top of her. (Autumn is used to climbing all over Jade. She tolerates it. If Jade has had enough, she'll get up and walk away. Simple as that. Kallie has growled at Autumn a couple of times. It was something we were working on. But I didn't think it was going to be a big issue because she came from a family with 3 boys and a girl all around Autumn's age. So she couldn't have done anything horrible there.)
So apparently Autumn was laying over Kallie's mid section and playing with something behind Kallie's back. Kallie growled at Autumn and Jordan corrected her. Not a big deal to me. However, shortly after, Kallie reared back and bit Autumn in the face. Jordan said that it happened way too fast. All I heard was the sound of something getting hit (Jordan did punch Kallie, twice, I don't blame him) and then Autumn crying. Jordan got her away from Kallie as fast as he could. I ran into the room asking what had happened. Honestly, I just thought that Autumn fell while playing with Jordan. I had no idea what he was about to say next...
"Kallie bit Autumn." I can still hear it ringing in my ears. Words that I never thought I would ever hear. Ugh, gives me chills. Autumn was definitely very scared. I knew, right then, that Kallie couldn't stay with us. I wanted her out of the house. I also knew that if she drew blood, she would have to be put down. I know a lot of you readers out there have opinions on this topic. But I am a firm believer that if a dog is comfortable biting a human being and draws blood, then that animal will most likely do it again. I will not put any other human being in that sort of danger. Autumn did no harm, what-so-ever, to Kallie. Who's to say what's going to happen if someone did accidentally hurt her (I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally stepped on Jade's tail or feet and she never showed aggression. I've stepped on Kallie's foot once and she nipped at my ankles...)
Sure enough. After Autumn calmed down a little bit, I brought her face up to inspect and there was blood. Ugh. I immediately broke down in tears because I was almost 100% sure what was going to happen to Kallie. Honestly, Jordan was so ticked off that he was about to kill her himself. I knew he would regret it if he did. We didn't really know who to call at that time. It was a Saturday evening, who was open? Someone suggested Animal Control. So Jordan got their number and had them come over. We ended up taking a picture of Autumn's face just minutes after it happened in case she was in bed before AC got to our house.
Super nice lady came and filled out paperwork for Kallie, looked Autumn over and then took Kallie away. Honestly, yes, I am sad. Kallie was a super, super sweet dog. Don't get me wrong. She had improved, SO MUCH, in the 2 weeks that we had her. I worked so hard on her! However, she was 4 years old with a history that wasn't very well known when we got her. Who knows what she was like with other owners. Kallie is going to be quarantined for 10 days before they put her down. I thought that this was silly at first until I read the paperwork that Jordan got. It's mostly for the person who got bit because if Autumn were to get rabies or something else, they would have to test Kallie's blood.
So again, yes, I am sad. I'm getting teary eyed just writing this post. I also know that I am going to get a lot of hate messages as well for this. However, put yourself in my position. My child, my own flesh and blood, was injured by a dog who is definitely capable of doing it again or worse. Autumn is incapable of defending herself and does not completely understand the difference between Jade and other dogs. What if this was your child? What if this was my dog who bit your child? What would you do?

2 weeks already?!?!
Life has been crazy the past couple of weeks. I can't believe that we've been living in our HOME for almost 2 weeks already!! It's insane. Boxes are slowly making their way out of the house. I'm hoping that we can start parking in the garage within the next month :-) Autumn is adjusting, slowly, but getting there. During the day isn't an issue, it's nap time and bed time that's the big adjustment. At my parent's house, her room was pitch black! Here, we only have towels hanging up (for now) so it lets in a lot more light than she's used to. I have to rock her to sleep in order for her to take her afternoon nap. Unfortunately I foresee this going badly. But I have time to work things out.
Autumn is talking... CONSTANTLY! Although it may be mostly baby chinese... Haha. She still continues to try and have conversations with me. I love it. She's said a few sentences herself. And amazing me with new words that she learns on a daily basis. I can't believe how much this girl knows! We still like to watch her Sign Language dvds. She now knows every single sign and can say every single word. I'm surprised she's not bored from it! But she brings it to me at least once a day and asks to watch it. It's better than Sponge Bob anyways ;-) Autumn is finally, mostly sleeping through the night. I can't believe it. She's not going to sleep tonight now that I'm posting this (lol). But more times than not, she is sleeping through the night. I never thought I would see the day. I'm still super slow at waking up, so she's usually almost crying by the time I get to her. Haha. Poor girl. Someday I'll become a morning person....... Or not...
Kaelyn is a moving machine. It's mere minutes after sitting down that she'll start moving. She's still very super low, so I'm constantly going to the bathroom (oh joy). I am 23 weeks today and things are going well. I'm very tired, but moving didn't help that much. I have another doctor's appointment next week with another ultrasound as well! Kaelyn wasn't cooperating when the ultrasound tech wanted to take a picture of her heart. So they want to go back and just make sure they can get a clear picture. Everything is ok and normal, but my doctor wants a picture. Besides, who wouldn't want another ultrasound anyways?
Jade is adjusting well. She loves her fenced in backyard! There's lots of places to "hide" while she's on squirrel patrol. Not to mention her new Doggy I-max TV that she has her dog bed in front of in the living room.
Jordan has been working hard on the house before we moved in and even now. We spent the weekend together working on the yard (I had a blast) and since we've had rain like crazy, he's been doing a lot of inside work, especially on my salon. Hehe. Jordan's had to grind the floors down because there's glue residue leftover from the tiles that were down there. We're just going to paint the cement floors and maybe do something fancy several years down the line. I'm hoping he can get my salon up and running within the next couple of months!
My camera is currently in a box, somewhere. So I am not able to post any pictures at this time. But as soon as I find it, I will take some and definitely post soon.

Taking a Break
I just wanted to let my followers know that I will be taking a break from my blog for a while. It's been difficult trying to get on my computer and update. Usually by the time my computer turns on, Autumn needs something or wakes up from a nap. So it's a little inconvenience at times. We will be closing on our home (prayers) hopefully tomorrow. And moving in within the next couple of weeks. We want to paint and have the floors done before we move in. Hopefully I can start updating my blog once we get settled in :-)
Quick update. Autumn's speech is improving so much. She's trying to put sentences together and even though we only understand one or two words of it, she is still so proud! She's definitely hit the "terrible twos" stage of her life and we have some sort of temper tantrum almost every night. It's so hard not to laugh. LOL.
Baby #2 is starting to move a lot. I started feeling kicks a couple of days ago and now I feel them several times throughout the day. I had my 16/17 week check up on Monday and everything looked great! Baby's bpm was 150 and sounded really, really strong! I have my ultrasound on May 4th to determine the gender!!! Super excited :-)
Autumn had some Easter pics taken this past Saturday. She was not a happy camper. Cried almost the whole time (didn't like the way the fake grass felt on her hands). Here are a few of my favorite pictures. Enjoy!

18 Months
Autumn had her 18 month check up today. She weighs 23 lbs 6 oz and is 33 1/4 in long. She grew an inch since her 15 month appointment! Her head circumference is still in the 95th percentile. It's because she has all those brains she has to hold in. Hehe.
The pediatrician was not surprised that Autumn exceeds the number of words she says at her age. This age range averages 4 to 10 words and I lost count. I don't even count anymore because she learns a new word everyday! Like I mentioned before as well, she's even putting 2 words together already.
Autumn did end up getting a shot. Her last one probably until she's 4. WONDERFUL! I'm so glad she doesn't have to have any for a while. I think they're worse for me than her. Haha. Jordan ended up coming with us to her appointment this time. He got off of work early. He did not like the part where Autumn got her shot. He said he wanted to "punch someone"! Haha. He doesn't like seeing his baby hurt :-/

Quick Update
I know, it's been frustrating since I haven't been able to blog recently. My computer's been having problems with not turning on. And then when I would finally get it on, I couldn't use the internet. Ugh! I think we're just gonna take all my pictures off, wipe my computer clean and start all over.
My poor Autumn has been battling and ear infection for the past couple of weeks. She went from a week of Amoxicillin to a week of Augmentin and then started a fever not 24 hours after she finishes her last anti-biotic. Really? She has her 18 mth check-up on Monday. I'm just gonna keep a close eye on her until then. If her fever gets any higher than it is now, I'm gonna bring her in. I just want her to start feeling better :-(
Autumn's is becoming such a talker. Yeah, she mostly jabbers and will throw in a word that we know every now and then. However, this past week she's been saying 2 or more words together. Her favorite thing is pointing out balls. Anywhere and everywhere. "There's a ball!" (Pointing at the AT&T sign) hehe. I love it. It keeps me on my toes because I never know where there's gonna be a ball ;-) She also likes to find pictures and point out who's in it. "That's mama. There's dada!" Everytime I drop her off at someone's house, she comes home with a new word. So watch out what you say around her people! LOL
Again, I wish I could post more pictures. But again, my computer dislikes me right now. So here's a picture of when Autumn had her fever at her worst 2 weeks ago. Poor baby :-(

Boobie Fever
Poor Autumn started having a fever a couple of days ago. You could really tell that she wasn't feeling well. I gave her some meds and waited to see what the next day brought. The following day she still wasn't feeling well. Still had a fever (around the 100 range), so I decided to take her to the pediatrician's office, just in case. Her right ear had a bunch of wax in it, so it was hard to see it. Ugh, that was horrible having it taken out. I think it was worse than having her shots done. She was in so much pain, looking at my like "why are you letting her do this?" But once the Dr. got all the wax out, she looked in Autumn's ear and said "Oh yeah, we have an ear infection!" :-( Well, I'm glad that I brought her in. So we are able to start Autumn on anti-biotics right away and help her feel better sooner. Today has been an interesting day. Autumn was walking around all morning whining, which isn't like her. I actually even put her down for an early nap today at 11 and she's still sleeping. I hope she gets better quickly.
Before I continue on my blog, I will say there has been 1 good thing out of this ear infection of Autumn's... She's been sleeping longer at night. The night before she started her fever she slept 12 hours! The past few nights she's been sleeping at least 8 hours and then 3 more hours after that. I hope this pattern continues even after she feels better!
We come to the bitter/sweet part of the blog today. I am officially done breastfeeding Autumn :-( I've been slowly weaning her since January (after we all got the stomach flu). I immediately cut out Autumn's afternoon feeding at that time. Then slowly introduced a bottle along with her night time feeding. The bottle slowly got bigger and bigger. Then I went to an every other night time. She got a bottle only one night and then both the next night. That lasted about a week and then my milk just disappeared. My mom told me that it's not uncommon for women to dry up that quickly. I am so happy that Autumn and I lasted as long as we did! My goal was 18 months and I'm just shy of that. I will miss it, but there's always other kids. And now Jordan is enjoying putting her down at bedtime as well :-)

Shower Baby
All of you mothers out there know what I mean when I say that it's almost impossible to take a shower by yourself these days. It was definitely easier when Autumn wasn't mobile. Just stuck her in the bouncy seat with the shower curtain open and we were golden. I usually take a shower at night because I can't leave Autumn in the bathroom running free. But yesterday was another story. We usually go out to lunch (Ming Ten, hehe) with my dad and grandpa, but I haven't taken a shower in a while. I was desperate! So, I thought, why not fill up the tub a little bit and sit Autumn in there with me with some toys. I thought it was a great idea! Autumn, not so much... She did not like the water spraying on her at all! She kept crying and shaking. Poor thing. So I picked her up to show her that it was ok. Still didn't like it. Then I just put her down and made sure it didn't spray her. Haha. I was able to take my shower, but not as exciting as I thought it would be. Back to night time showers :-)

Noah's Ark
I'm so glad I got Autumn her Little People Noah's Ark for Christmas. It's one of her favorite toys. She loves playing with the animals and especially "No-o" (Noah). Along with her mammals book, I've been teaching Autumn her animals. She knows all of them, but was a little confused during her video (hehe, getting close to nap time). Bath Nights
I absolutely cannot get over how much Autumn loves to go down for a nap and bedtime. It makes me smile. Everytime I ask her if she wants to go "na-night", she gets super excited, yells "na-night" and will come up to me with her arms up! Now if she'd only sleep through the night ;-)
I'm starting to give Autumn a bath every night now. It helps keep the smell of her little bum down from her night time diaper. Last night I couldn't give her a bath because Jordan and I were gone at his work party. My mom ended up giving Autumn her bath instead. My mom mentioned that she told Autumn that it was time to take a bath. So, Autumn started walking towards the stairs that lead to the upstairs bathroom (she's so smart). However, my mom needed her pjs and a night time diaper, so she quickly ran downstairs to get them. Next thing she hears is Autumn at the top of the basement stairs yelling "AHHHH!!!". Apparently Autumn wasn't very happy that Grandma went downstairs instead of upstairs. Hehehehe. So my mom followed Autumn to the stairs going up to the bathroom and into the tub :-)
